İstanbul Kent University (Istanbul Kent Üniversitesi
Founding & Mission
İstanbul Kent University was established in 2016 by the Engelsiz Eğitim Vakfı, with a vision to deliver modern, inclusive, and globally competitive higher education. Its mission is rooted in contributing to Turkey’s societal and technological development, nurturing “world citizens” who remain connected to their national and cultural values but are also fully capable of competing in international arenas.
Academic Structure & Programs
Kent University offers a diverse academic portfolio. Its faculties include Dentistry, Health Sciences (nursing, physiotherapy, midwifery, etc.), Economics & Social Sciences (business, psychology, political science), and Art & Design (gastronomy, interior architecture), among others. There are also vocational schools and graduate institutes offering master’s and PhD programs. The university emphasizes both Turkish- and English-language instruction, allowing for wide accessibility to international students.
Campus & Student Life
The university’s campuses are located in central, vibrant districts of Istanbul (Taksim and Kağıthane), putting students right in the heart of one of the world’s most historic and culturally rich cities. On campus, students benefit from modern facilities: laboratories, ateliers, a dentistry research and application center, a student career development center, a library, and active student clubs. Kent also fosters a lively cultural and academic environment, offering seminars, exhibitions, concerts, and other events.
Internationalization & Mobility
Kent University takes a proactive approach to internationalization. According to its international office, it has partnerships with universities abroad and participates in Erasmus+, enabling student mobility for studies, internships, and joint programs. Its “Internationalization at Home” strategy also promotes a multicultural campus: in their own materials, they report students from 16 different countries.
