Fleming College
Founding & Mission
Fleming College was established in 1967 and is named after Sir Sandford Fleming, a prominent engineer and inventor known for his work on standard time. As a college of applied arts and technology, its mission centers on providing practical, career-ready education, innovation, and community engagement.
Campuses & Programs
Fleming operates several campuses: the large Sutherland Campus in Peterborough (about 200 acres), Frost Campus in Lindsay (150-acre natural environment) for environmental/natural resources programs, and Haliburton Campus which houses the Haliburton School of Art + Design. It offers more than 70 full-time programs, including health sciences, business, environmental studies, trades, and technology.
